How can you know God's will for you

Good day, Beloveds

Many of us don't fully understand the above scripture. It's not a suggestion but an instruction. When we follow Jesus, we can not remain the same as we used to be. We are supposed to transform, but that can only happen when we submit and surrender to the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit knows the true character of Jesus Christ, and only he can make us like him.

Understand the scripture

1. Don't copy: This is an instruction. We are no longer supposed to copy anything or anyone, but Jesus.

2. Behaviour: we can't behave like people of this world. We need to behave like Jesus did while in this world.

3. Customs: Definition - In a culture, a custom is a traditional practice or behaviour that is widely accepted and passed down through generations, reflecting a community's values, beliefs, and identity. Many of us still believe that what is of this world still matters. We believe that what has been passed down through generation and our identity matters more, but the word of God says otherwise. We are supposed to be new creations, and we have taken the kingdom form of Jesus. Jesus being a Jew wasn't important because that's the custom of the world. What matters is that he is the word of God, the Son of God. That's the only identity that matters.

4. This world: The word tells us that this world now belongs to Satan, and God will destroy it. We should look forward to what God has promised us in eternity, the new earth without Satan or sin.

5. Let God: God won't force us. He won't make you let(allow) him. He has given us free will, and he wants us to copy Jesus and give up our free will for his. Sadly, this is not something many people are willing to do. To let God is required because you can't do it on your own. This i's to die to oneself and surrender and submit to him fully.

6. Transform youdefinition - make a marked change in the form, nature, or appearance of. Our nature, appearance, and form should resemble Jesus and nothing of this world. God wants to transform us into that.

7. A new person: If you fail to stop copying the behaviour and customs of this, God can't transform you into a new person because you still insist on being the old person. Partial change doesn't count. If you buy something that has been used before, you can't say that it's new even if it was used with care. Definition of new: produced, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time; not existing before.

8. By changing: If we have changed and God has transformed us, we can't be the same. We can't hold on to our old beliefs. We need to believe in the things of the kingdom of heaven and not of this world.

9. The way you think: There is a way we think before we follow Christ. This affects our careers, attitudes , psychology, physicality, finances, relationships, cultural practices, purpose, decisions, and more. God wants to change that to the standard that only he knows, represented by Jesus Christ.

10. Then: Only once the first part has happened, you will know God's will. Many people know about God, but they don't truly know God. It's impossible to truly know God or his will when you have not stopped copying this world's behaviour and customs, let God transform you into a new person, and have a new way of thinking.

11. You will learn: This is a promise. After the above has happened, the next step is that you will learn. This shows that there is a teacher (the Holy Spirit) who will teach you something that you didn't know.

12. To know God's will: Many people live according to their will, and some have been deceived and think they are living according to God's will. If you are still copying the behaviour and customs of the world and you have not let God transform you and changing the way you think about this world's customs and behaviour then you don't know God's will. You might be doing many things in his name, but you are far from his will. Which is futile.
13. For you: As much as God has a will for people to follow, he also has a personal will for each and every one of us. Are you in God's will? I can tell you something, I believed I was until I surrendered and submitted everything to God. The truth was I was not in his will.
14. Which is good: Definition of good: Something good" refers to any desired or pleasing thing, situation, or idea that possesses positive, admirable, or superior qualities. God wants the best for us, sadly many people don't trust him. When we hold on to the old self, customs and behaviour, it shows that we don't trust God. We only trust what we are familiar with.

15. Pleasing: Definition: giving pleasure; agreeable; gratifying.God's will is pleasing, but we don't see it that way because we still see this world as pleasing.

16. Perfect: Definition of Something perfect: means something that is flawless, complete, and as good as it could possibly be, without any defects or mistakes. We resist the change because we don't understand that God's will for us is perfect nothing can be better than it.

Many people who believe that they are in God's will don't realise that they are not. They still have the veil blinding them. It is probable that you could read the bible and see or understand only what you want to. You can walk this life believing that you are a new person transformed by God and that you have a new way of thinking, but that is not true.

Ask God to show you, says this prayer.

Lord, I am sorry for trusting myself and not relying on you to show me the truth that might be hard to accept. Lord, please give me the strength and knowledge to surrender my will to you and to submit my life for whatever you have planned for me. Please remove the veil from my eyes, help me allow you to transform me, make me a new person, and give me a way of thinking. Please reveal your will for my life. Help me to trust and believe that you will, for me, are good, perfect, and pleasing.
