Understand 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear is the Enemy’s Weapon Greetings, Beloveds. As I sit down to write this, I am reflecting on a recent session with a client. Throughout our time together, she kept saying, "I am afraid." She said it so many times you would think it was her motto. Looking back at my own life, I realize that for a long time, fear was my unintended motto, too. What is fear? Why do we have it, and why does it consume us? Consider Adam in the Garden. He named all the animals—even the big cats. This shows he didn't see them as a threat. He was close enough to observe them and name them without a single thought of danger. What is Fear? Fear is a fundamental, threat-based emotion. It is often defined by the acronym F.E.A.R.: False Evidence Appearing Real. It acts as a biological survival mechanism, triggering physical, emotional, and psychological changes (like adrenaline spikes) to prepare us for danger. While rooted in evolutionary threats, modern fear often relates...

Christians Can Stop Sinning! John 8:10-11 NLT [10] Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” [11] “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” Beloved, I know reading the above might be shocking. To many, it seems like an impossible task. However, as much as your mind sees the complexity of the matter, the Scripture mentions this many times: Stop sinning. Jesus said it to the woman above, and He said it to people He healed. You ought to ask: Why would He say it if it were impossible? The answer lies here: Matthew 19:26 NLT [26] Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” I know you know this scripture, but I doubt that many fully comprehend it. Let’s break it down: Jesus believed eye contact was important. He wasn’t just making small talk. This wasn’t just a "look....

Prayer: Relationship or Formality? Last night, I had a conversation with a wonderful young lady. She looked good and proper on the outside, but her heart was the opposite. God revealed the state of her heart to me. After our in-depth conversation, she said, "I don't even know how to pray." Then she started listing what she thought was the "order" of an effective prayer. She asked, "We need to start by praising God first, right?" This was a fair assumption from her. Yes, I said assumption . She explained that she was taught to think this way, which can be correct in a technical sense, but there were a few vital things out of place: She never prayed using her own heart-language; she didn't have a personal relationship with God. She was living a life that was self-serving rather than serving God. This led to my question: "Who are you praising, and for what?" She said, "God—that's what the autho...

Understand Genesis 1:26-27

In whose image are you made? Genesis 1:26-27 EASY [26] Then God said, ‘We will make humans so that they are very much like us. They will rule over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky. They will rule over the farm animals. They will rule over the whole earth and all the animals that move along the ground.’ [27] God made humans. He made them to be like himself. He made them to be male and female. Made in His Image: Software vs. Hardware If you were to ask any Christian or believer in whose image they were made, they would proudly quote Genesis 1:26-27 with total confidence. Sadly, for too many, those are just words. In the beginning, God spoke words and all that we see today came into existence. However, those were not just empty words; they were full of faith and belief, which is why they could create so much. The words many believers share today are empty—just skin and bones. The funny thing is, God can bring life to dry bones, but that seems to be "...
