Understand John 8:12

Image
Good day, Beloveds  I hope that you feel blessed on this excellent morning. As we continue to transform into Jesus' character with the help of the Holy Spirit, we need to remain faithful and endure in all circumstances. Today, we look at John 8:12. Here, Jesus is talking to the people and not his disciples. When Jesus speaks to his disciples, he shares more details, and when it's the crowd that follows him, he just says enough but doesn't share too much.  Scripture Jesus says, "I am the light for the world."  He could have plainly said that he is the Messiah. Remember God's plan was that the people wouldn't recognise the Messiah. He is the light to the world, meaningful he didn't come for certain people but for all people. "Follow me" , Jesus is inviting the people to be his disciples. To follow him is to obey his commands, do the works that he did and more, and become like him in character (the fruit of the spirit). "And yo...

Parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl: Matthew 13:44

Good day Beloveds  Growing up I just thought Jesus liked speaking funny when it comes to parables. I truly found them to be tricky but through the teachings of the Holy Spirit, I now understand them and find them to be deep secrets of God's dwelling place and how we can experience it while on earth. Why did Jesus speak like this? To help the people of his era understand and relate to what they didn't know. Why can't we understand Jesus' parables?  It's because we don't live in that era and we are not in farming or agriculture. Also we need the Holy Spirit to grant us the revelation as the bible is encrypted.  How can we then understand? By using our imagination and taking some of the things and relating it to something from modern days. Submit to God and seeking his kingdom. Allow the Holy Spirit to have us fully so he can teach us. Remember to always invite the Holy Spirit before you read the Word. He will teach you all things.  Matthew 13:44 NLT [44] “The King...

What are the gifts of the Spirit?

Good day Beloveds Did you know that the same power that resurrected Jesus Christ lives in each and everyone of his true followers? That is the reason Jesus said we should do what he did and even greater things. John 14:12 CEV [12] I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. John 14:15-16 CEV [15] Jesus said to his disciples: If you love me, you will do as I command. [16] Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. I know that it is hard to believe. Jesus spent so much time with his disciples to teach them to be like him because he was like our Heavenly Father. John 14:10 CEV [10] Don't you believe that I am one with the Father and that the Father is one with me? What I say isn't said on my own. The Father who lives in me does these things. When we read the book of Genesis we see that this was our origin, w...
