Understand Matthew 25:31- 46

Do you think you are going to meet Jesus one day?

Matthew 25:32-33 EASY

[32] People from all the countries in the world will come together in front of me. I will put them into two groups. I will do it in the same way that a shepherd puts his sheep and goats into two groups. [33] I will put the sheep on my right side and the goats on my left side.

The truth is, everyone will meet Him; the only question is which side you will be on. Will you be a goat or a sheep? Today, we have many goats draped in sheep’s clothing. They aren't wolves—and that is exactly what deceives people. Because there are no visible sharp teeth or claws, many fall for the act of these false Christians. They are hypocrites who speak of things they never practice and do the exact opposite of what the Word of God commands. They are lawless; they refuse to be ruled by anyone—not by the laws of this country, and certainly not by the laws of God.

Jesus is meant to be the standard for how we live. His Word should be our blueprint so that we may one day meet the Father in peace. The terrifying reality for these hypocrites is that they will meet the Father, but they will be on the side where Jesus does not vouch for them. When the books are opened, they will have to answer for every one of their transgressions, unlike those for whom Jesus has already interceded. On that day, their judgment will be more severe than that of Sodom and Gomorrah.

When they stand before Him, they will list everything they did in His name, only for Him to deliver the most devastating words: "I never knew you." I truly don’t understand why people who claim to believe in Jesus refuse to believe what He actually said. If they truly believed Him, they could not live lives that so deeply dishonor Him and the Father.

But what do I know? Apparently, modern theology suggests that the Lord’s grace covers intentional, habitual sin, and that Jesus must have been joking when He told the people He healed to "go and sin no more."

Who are the goats?

• The Justifiers: They excuse their deliberate sin by constantly saying, "Nobody’s perfect."

• The Performers: They engage in every "Christian" activity except for actually being like Christ.

• The Intellectuals: Their noses are always in the Bible, but to them, it’s just a work of science fiction. If they believed it was based on true events, their lives would show the evidence.

The Presumptuous: They believe repentance is overrated because they think grace is a license to live however they want.

• The "Good" People: They are "very good" by the world's standards, but they refuse to be Godly.

Which one are you? How much longer will you continue to deceive yourself?

I pray that the truth of God touches your heart so you could truly repent and become one of Jesus’s sheep instead of a sheepy-goat.
